Greatest goal I've ever seen? Robert Codner for Brighton against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park in 1994. It was a long-range wonder strike, which I remember as being taken from near the right wing, right in front of me in what was at the time a lovely scenic south-eastern terrace. What made this even better was that I had a tenner on him to score first at something like 12:1. |

A glory hunter switches allegiances like Harry Redknapp switches tax advisors.

I support neither my nearest professional team, nor the professional team nearest to where I grew up. Wouldn't describe myself as a glory hunter, though my allegiances have been a little nomadic, forced by my 'home' team's famous bankruptcy. |

When I was at primary school, apart from Palace, all my year group supported Arsenal or Liverpool as they tended to get the silverware. No particular ties with those clubs or regions other than they were the best English clubs at the time. Chelsea were in the old Division 2 and Tottenham were not even considered where I lived. Miraculously, boys now go around in Chelsea tops and even Man United ones just because 'they are who they are.' I'm surprised that I haven't seen any Man City tops in my neck of the woods as yet. |

Johnny Metgod's free kick for Forest against West Ham. Ball was virtually on his own goal line, his run up began 200m outside of the ground, our wall was lined up somewhere near halfway. The ball was struck so true it didn't deviate 1mm from its starting trajectory and was still rising when it went straight through our keeper and almost broke the net. |

But they are sympathisers Phil, not supporters. I support United because I didnt know you could choose, my Dad just maxe sure I did. Me and my brother were the only United fans in our primary school though, the rest were mainly Liverpool and Forest. |
