That's the thing, I don't think there are very many "clear & obvious" errors in professional matches within the remit of VAR (goals, penalties, straight reds, mistaken identity). The penalty given against Otamendi still wasn't clear & obvious after watching it in slo-mo half a dozen times.

Take the drama out, take the controversy out, take the talking / arguing points out... ruin the game, IMHO.

I have to say I had no idea the 'champions' league was on, sorry.

Yes, VAR is all well and good but it just has to be quick, if it is not the flow of games are ruined. Fitz is right, there are always going to be odd stuff happening when the action is slowed down, still 'Champions' league is groups stages of tedium, followd by seeded tedium.

Bring back unseeded knockout.

I think most people would probably like to see a Champions League with a bit more variety, year on year. I just don't see how that comes about, since sponsors and TV would only see a downside to that (rightly or wrongly).
