Ha, ha gcwenn Spurs are short of players and for some reason they came to us rather than you.

How much will you get back from the 57m you spent on a squad that couldn't challenge for the play-offs?

Probably down to Bryan Klug from our academy, went to Spurs when Keane forced him out and came back when he left.

Well we will not get back the 57 million (if that is what we have spent, but I can't see it somehow). Plenty of fans are saying we need to go up next season as the parachute payments run out. But nobody have told Brighton or Huddersfield that!
I would rather be in our position that yours. I really cannot see why you are holding onto mental Mickey. Lowest league position for 50 years, lowest league crowds for 30 years, getting knocked out of the cup by non-league teams, and still your ticket tout owner holds onto him.
I almost pity your fans (I said almost, not that I did!!)

Depends how your new manager works out if you aren't challenging at Christmas I doubt he'll see the January transfer windows and I won't feel sorry for Naaridge at all.

Our position is dreadful, but when you consider some teams on the championship spent more on agents than we did on wages it could have been worse.

Figures published a couple of years ago showed that, whilst some clubs in the Premiership looked a bit financially questionable, virtually all of the Championship were utter basket cases: Bolton, (owing 89 million pounds, iirc) being the worst.

How long until the whole thing implodes? In fact, why hasn't it already?

If we are not challenging by Christmas he will see the January transfer window. We are not Leeds who sack the manager every other week. We sacked Hughton and Neil too late, so we have a long record of giving managers a decent chance.

It does not matter about other teams, the fact remains that you lot are in serious danger of leaving the Championship (although i would expect you agree with me that 16 seasons in that division is more than enough), and it is through the trapdoor, not to the "land of milk and honey".

LOL. Actually that is very true. I did several new grounds when we dropped to League one and a big plus is the fact the home fans are there to support their hometown club. They have not got no buses to travel up from Surrey or Cornwall to watch "their team".

The games kick off at 3 as well!

I agree GC, we are in danger this season, last was utterly pathetic with the odd exception.

I am not expecting us to sign anyone from the Championship unless they are out of contract, or on a free. We may sign someone from the Prem who hasn't made the grade?

Bolton is less of a basket case now the previous owner having written off well over 100m worth of debt when he bailed out. Even at the start of the last season we were losing around £1m a month. Now a lot of top earners are out of contract and living beyond means no longer a strategy. Blackburn are now in a similar position -the club loaded with debt by their owners.

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
