Can't comment on Woburn, but having done std distance at Dorney, its should destroyingly boring (8 laps on the bike round that lake, I lost the will to live after about 4 :-o ) :-)

Ditto Fraggle: I did Bananaman there. It was a slightly shortened bike but boring as....

It looks like Woburn is laps too (although longer than Eton). Closed road. Very tempted.

The real advantage of Eton is for the spectators as they get to see you again and again (and again) (and again) (and again) (and again) (and again) (and again) (and again) on both the bike and run.

Compare to Holkham where I rode off and they didn't see me again for about 3 hours.

thank you - looks like probably Woburn then - less far to drive and a good excuse to go to Paris House afterwards :-)
I'm giving up work at the end of May - if I ever have any hope of getting fit enough for this, then it's next year

The deed is done. I must be insane as I'm not exactly getting positive support for this at home. Oh well, I'll just have to do it on my own

back with another question!
father Christmas is being kind and says I can have a Dryrobe. Do I want long or short sleeves? I thought probably long but Wiggle have only got short and they are cheaper so now I'm not sure

I think LazyDaisy has one. Hopefully she'll be along shortly to share her experience.
