Sub 2:50 for me at Boston ! Probably not the course for it but i might as well train with the proper target in mind.

Sorry to hear you're still ill Lee. MY RHR is down enough and peak flow up enough for me to be running again albeit only easy.

LMH - Thanks 😊 Glad you are on the mend! 👍🏻 I went out for an easy run today. Legs felt fresh but I slowed down the second half of the run. It’s weird that even though I’ve had the cold which wasn’t bad (still went to work),but enough to put me on the back foot, not running made me feel unhealthy and really sluggish! |

I'm the same Lee - and a run definitely clears the head (not to mention the nose) albeit only shirt term relief.

I find running with a cold ok in itself, but the aggravation of the nose/throat can be an issue!

First hard session of the season and that's my first week done. Though I am doing a parkrun on Saturday just as a test - also an excuse to go shopping in Harrogate Hitting 3:55/k (for 8 x 4 min) which is ok pace for a first attempt but I've got some improving to do...

Brunski
Another cold 'victim' here, not stopping me running though, the feet are doing that job. Been cycling a bit, trying to get in a few rides of an hour or so just to keep some sort of aerobic fitness. Got a doctors appointment next Wednesday where I plan to ask for steroid injections in the bursae, and a podiatrist and gait specialist appointment at the end of the month where I might get a better solution to the cause of the problem. If I'm able to build for London I reckon that will start early in the new year. Would be daft to put up any predictions but if I'm going to train for a marathon I'd not want to train for anything slower than 3 hours so you can put that down as a line in the sand please jda. |

Sorry to hear that you're still struggling Brunski. I hope you can find a resolution soon.
