Well done Brunski. My wife and I smashed the MBO national championships over the weekend and have just enjoyed our prize of a bottle of wine. (PS Tandem category) (PPS Tandem category does not get many entries. I think we last beat someone back in about 2000) |

Well done, Brunski and jda - excellent prizes. I won 1st V50 at a race earlier this year and my prize was a small, sad looking melon that was well past its prime. Not even the dog got excited about that and he eats everything.

That sounds like the sort of thing I tend to get on the rare occasions that I win jomo.

Surprised to run a 17.13 5k last night on tired legs (And without the vaporfly's), maybe my fitness isn't so bad after all. 20 miles tonight's going to be a challenge though.

My runnings all over the place; one day an accidentaly parkrun PB when I wasn't trying, the other I'm limping through a 10 miler. Take the success Chris! |

Nice one Chris. I have to say there's no way my legs would let me do a 5k the day before a 20 miler! Hope your 20 miler goes well. There's a local fell race on Saturday which I'd hope to do, but my plan has me doing an 18miler 1st thing Sunday - I'm getting sensible in my old age so I'll give the race a miss this year. My next race (a 10k with just over 900ft of climbing) is in just over 2 weeks, which will be my 5th race in just over 2 months (a record for me I think)

I quite often to a parkrun the day before a long run and when I do, I don't bother about the pace of the LR and just take it as time on feet.
