Thanks guys! My last 5k was a little over a year ago, and this one was run at my 10k PB pace. So i guess I'm a bit curious to see how well i'd do if i raced the distance in better conditions.

I have a few more 10ks and HMs to train for and i'm even considering the mid-cheshire 5k.

Well done on the PB SKR. I often find that 5ks take a few shots to get right. Its hard to just pitch up and nail the best pace.

A tough old 16 miles for me with 11 at ME in there but it was pretty windy and very clammy and so I was way down on pace. Also need to get stretching the tight glutes and hamstrings

Absolutely smashed the Round Sheffield Run today, 2nd v40, 5th individual, and 6th overall.

Wasn’t sure what to expect going into today as have been struggling with a groin injury and took a good 3 days to recover from the relays on Tuesday. Thankfully Saturday’s 4 mile loosener went well and set out hard but controlled and ran the perfect race.

The winner was a v40 as well so I scooped the top v40 prize (engraved pewter tanker and 8 box of craft beers). So happy, love this run.

Nice one brunski- that’s a nice prize. I finished 1st M45 in a hm race last month (with 700+ runners paying over £30) and got a t-shirt which was too big for me & which they wouldn’t even swap for a smaller size!

Yeah can’t knock the prizes JB if you’re ever in this neck of the woods in June I’d recommend!

11 stages with walk breaks, like a mini time Tour de France format of short time trials get varying terrain and elevation.

Rank it as my favourite run of the year....Run hard, walk between stages and chat with fellow runners, repeat *11.

Going by my typing above, you may guess correctly that I’m drinking my prizes 😬

Hopefully you get the gist; good race, and nobody I’ve met has a bad word about it!
