Yeah I still don’t call myself a runner at all- marathons are long gone, as are the 100+ mile weeks. I mean I’m grateful for what I now have, but I really can only play a bit at it now and live on 2 wheels instead. Nightmare injury for sure

All this talk of PF has resulted in my left foot feeling a bit dodgy today across the arch :-(

Thanks all well I'll certainly keep an eye out for problems as and when they pop up. However I don't really regard myself as a running obsessive and have never had a tendency to train too hard through real injuries (I know not always so easy to tell what is a real injury when there's a race coming up!) so fingers crossed I have nothing to worry about.

There's been an awful forecast here but in reality just the occasional dusting of snow that's not lying so should manage a tough workout some time today...

4 x 10 min at threshold which I've always managed to fit into a local flat 2.5km(ish) stretch, but this time I seriously ran out of road and totalled 10.34km in the 40 mins. Which shows what a week of steady running (no fast sessions since last thursday's struggle) can lead to!

I have similar tonight JDA, but its 4 x 2 miles (so hoping to be 12:30). Just hoping all the snow/ice/slush has gone and the wind remains OK

Did 18 miles with 8 at Marathon pace today!

Slow 5, then the 8, then another 5 slow!

Managed to average 6:39 on the MP miles and felt good!

This is the pace I need to run to get under 2:55!
Can I see myself maintaining that for 26.2 miles.........no but it is early days!

Glad it’s done now and will have a nice 6 mile recovery tomorrow! πŸ‘πŸ»

Hope your foot feels better today Chris!πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
