200m lap pace = (400m lap pace)/2

Where lap pace refers to your mile lap pace, or if you prefer 400 lap pace = (mile time)/4

:p Fozzy. I was more thinking if the tighter bends have any impact, but also having made some leaps in short distance speed since last time I raced a mile what pace to aim for.

How do. We have decided to go and do a mile at the track at Leeds Carnegie on June 16th. It is very convenient for us ( hence the name) -http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=88356

All we are doing is going up there for 10am, and running a mile. Anyone is welcome to come along and do the same. Not doing booking or setting up waves of races or doing all that officially bizzle. Just time yourself, or get someone to time you...whatevs. It's open to the public, just pay your few squid to get in and do your thing.

There will be no fucking cayke. Though Headingley is of course bursting with establishments, many of which sell cake. :-)

Not in any way taking over anything anyone else has arranged here. In fact, we're doing nothing other than running a mile at a track that is practically on our doorstep, on a different day, and saying 'feel free to join us' :-)

Sorry, Long Eaton 50 the day before.

Otherwise I would have been 'mad for it', as the kids say.

You could bayke a cayke and bring it along. Wear your fetch top so people know you're a runner and you don't feel left out and that. Man the obligatory fetch point on the top bend. You know all those things that really matter....

My fetch top doesn't go with my cheerleading skirt and pom-poms though.
