I'll keep that in mind...would anyone else be interested in doing something like this?

Not a beginner, but I'd be interested in doing something.

Changing the subject slightly - my normal group is 20-odd women between, at a guess, early twenties and mid seventies - and me (a bloke in his mid fifties). Been going to the same class with the same people for several years. My hips don’t seem to flex like what theirs do.

Is this a ‘me’ thing to work on or a gender thing to accept and move on from?

Greg, everybody's body differs - depending on what you've done to your body, to just the way one's hip sockets, depth of hips can vary by person, limiting what ways your body and limbs will be able to move, and the depth that one can move.

For example, I have very open hips in some ways, but tight adductors - and a yoga teacher I know can do the splits but cannot do lotus pose (which my very open hips makes it easy). I can't do splits any more (I could until I was about 25) because my adductors are too tight and I don't actually want them to loosen too much as I have weird hips and like having that adductor support for hip stability.

Back on the other topic, I'll start thinking of some things for this.

I just did my first Zoom class - or not, in that it was my regular Wednesday Nuffield class except over Zoom. It sort of worked. Sort of. Felt monstrously self-conscious for some reason.

Still giving some thought to a beginner class...though currently have a little too much to worry about at the moment with work.
