Beans and cheese on toast is one of civilisation's crowning glories, especially when the beans soak into the bread and give it a melt in the mouth quality. The cheese should be finely sliced (not grated) so that it melts into a diaphanous shroud around the beans. The whole dish should be served molten hot. I can't believe I didn't put people right on this 6 years ago. |

Whilst one is here. My inlaws claiming they are 'not that well off', when they own outright a 5 bedrooms house in the South Downs National Park, have two other rental properties, own three cars, bought their youngest daughter her house. And sent all three of their children to private school. Conservatively speaking I think it puts them in the top 0.0000001% of the worlds most well off..... |
