There may well be a pile-on against Niemann right now, or this might be the kind of evidence Magnus reckons he already has, but I've seen a couple of similar computer analyses of Niemann's games today like the below.

Suggests Niemann is on another level to anyone else, including Magnus.

It's easy to convince people with numbers but not many of us actually understand the analysis.

Correct. And not all 100% scores here are the same amazing play anyway.

Chess.com has released its report into the allegations, and said it believes Niemann has cheated in more than 100 matches on the site. I think Niemann admitted cheating when he was 12 and 16. But Chess.com figures show at least 80 of those matches were in 2020. I can't see any more recent than that, and it also says it doesn't believe Niemann has cheated OTB.

Just another set of startling revelations.

Well yeah. Carlsen was asking for it IMO. Though there may be stuff I’m not aware of.

Does it stand any chance? Magnus sent a cryptic tweet, and then sent a statement that said Hans had cheated more often, and more recently, than Hans had admitted to. Chess.com later backed this up as well with their own report. As far as I know, Magnus didn’t accuse Hans of cheating OTB, did he?

And although Hikaru has clearly been making the most of the controversy on his stream, has he basically just been commenting on the news, but from an expert’s point of view?

Has Dlugy got a better case, as chess.com released correspondence that he thought was confidential relating to his own cheating?

(I am not a lawyer, of course!).

Both insinuated he cheated OTB. Also chess.com would need to prove the cheating he did online. Not watched enough Hikaru stuff to judge.

I can see why the case is happening, I just don't know if he has enough.
