He was down to seconds TBF there and probably just played a winning move he'd already seen rather than reacting to the previous move. It's an odd format tournament in general. Re the rule, it doesn't make much sense but if they had a chance to challenge it then not much to be done (quite a bit different from F1 imo as everything happened as it should have). |

Valentina Vs Aleksandra was a little crazy. White dominant then the evaluation swung to black as they got low on time, white got it back though.

Hmmm  I'm glad there's commentary, I can't follow this at all. I just learnt something: When the player with the black pieces wins, they reset the board with the kings on dark squares in the middle, and vice versa for a white win. |
