For My Light
I did e-mail them about the lack of T-shirt, got this reply 'We did do t-shirts and medals last year as it was our first year and first ever event. We ask for t-shirts sizes for all our events as we don't know if we are going to give a medal or t-shirt at each event until relatively closer to the race date.' |

Hmmm. Not the most convincing of replies, really. And whilst I'd say it's easy for us, as armchair race organisers, to pick holes in the way they did it, they could at least have made it clear on the website. Or said something like "a race memento will be provided" - and left it at that.

fat-feet.blogspot.com Times for all! I finished 4th! Well pleased with that! Although, the distance on my Garmin was well over 13.1 and theyve put it down as 2 seconds slower than my watch time. So im taking my watch time. |

Very well done you!!! More people than I thought too I"d have guesssed nearer a hundred than 150. Quite pleased too as third lady and 29th overall. Just about worth all the bruises I have:) |

Great results everyone. This is the response I got from Fat Feet when I asked about medals: "The reason we didn't put a year on the medal was because last year we had to throw away hundreds of medals that were not used. This waste cost Fat feet alot of money and we didn't want a repeat. " Hmmm. I wonder why they ordered so many. This way I guess whatever Fat Feet event you do, the medal will look the same, just the ribbon will probably be different. Not sure how I feel about that to be honest - nice to be able to track what I did when from the medals. Oh well. |
