Abingdon mara

Personally I now find entirely flat courses a bit more tricky than a couple of bumps. Gives your legs a bit of a breather to work in different gears.

Totally agree. I hated Selby, it was like running on a treadmill.

Abingdon killed my sub 2.40. Never at any road race have I had to slam on the brakes and chuck a left up an underpass. Have no doubts that if I'd raced at London at this time then I would have pissed a 2.38. Damm you those 14 seconds :(

LOL I saw that Jocky ;) The underpass is the only way to get the runnurs back through the town centre, and with every other route round Abingdon exhausted it the underpass or nothing. Got to put a little hill in there somewhere for you!

The now defunct Headington 5 used to have an underpass. I never used to bother with slowing for it and just bounced off the corners. Great fun!

PB for me :-)
watch time 13s quicker than chip, but it defo felt longer than 13s walking from first to second mat. I ran 13.17 so distance pretty accurate as I was dodging people in the wrong time pens for 2 miles.
not that I give a sh*t - I was way under 1:28 :-)
