You fabulous fetchies were all looking great from where I was standing around mile 5 :-)

Watching you all coming along Darvill's Lane, it's narrow and looked chocca at times. Maybe that's why the numbers are limited.

I enjoyed it. Flat but not pancake flat according to eb. Very friendly marshalls and the kids water station at 5.5 was excellent

I enjoy this race too, despite the wind & rain. The inclines are challenging :), thc course might be a bit boring without them.

I'll be back :)

Oh and a PB for me too :)

I wouldn't be surprised if they revised the results. Even allowing for Garmin error, mine clocked it as exactly 13.10 from the first mat on the way out. I don't suppose anyone saw the elites start? There's no difference between the winner's gun and chip time (both bloody amazing).

Sure we'll find out in a few days when they've finalised the results.

As for the route, it wasn't as flat as I was led to believe either. Far from hilly, just a few very gradual and shallow inclines and a couple of short and fairly gentle ascents, but they seemed to be mostly in the final few miles. The wind deffo picked up in the last few miles too. Ascent and headwind just when you don't need it..

Thought it was very well organised. Just wish people would start in the right pen / area.........

They had problems last year tooo. Some of the guys that were bang at the front had 20 sec differences between chip and gun time. Seems theyve had similar problems.

Not sure how you could get a much flatter course really? It reminded me a lot of Brass Monkey in York.

I think Selby is the only one i've done that is anywhere close to pancake flat.
