And................I stood next to the gorgeous Sophie Raworth at the start. She didn't show up on the results page so she didn't finish or didn't run under her own name.

If the chip time started on the second mat, wouldn't the winners chip time be out by 50 metres? Garmins are affected by the weather and the distance you run around the course. The course is measured using the tightest lines of the course.

I can understand distances on Garmins being out but there shouldn't have been a 20 second difference between the watch time and chip time. That difference stacks up with the distance between mats.

The chip times are defo fast. 10s for me. I think this happened last year too but was subsequently fixed when the final results got published. Some with narrow PBs / milestones could still be disappointed. :-(

I got the course spot on distance.

Will people check back later though to see if they've been corrected?

I drove past one of the motorway bridges today and see you guys streaming across, i had a stinker when i ran Woki in 2009 but i have to be honest and say i found the route very very DULL. And not a quick as some make out.

Me too Peacey. I won't be doing it again. I ran it believing it was a really quick course but there were some nasty inclines especially the bridges on the way back. Seems odd that only 2000 people run a long standing half billed as popular. Is there a limit on entries?

It's a good point mate, not sure. It fills quick and 2000 seems a bit tight when it would most likely get alot more entrants.

Dunno why exactly but I just found it really uninspiring as a course. That said alot will disagree I'm sure!

Mr. K.
Ran it as the last part of a longer session. Garmin time - 2:00:33 Race Result - 2:00:05 (time to get over the line 4:52).

Enjoyed the race & meeting up before, during & after with folks so I`ll be back.
