Liking this thread there is something satisfiying about knocking up a soup in winter.

Faves:

BBC Good Food do a Lentil and Cardamom soup

Good old veggie broth with lots of barley (I love barley)
Broad bean and blue cheese

Making soup to go with turkey sandwiches - celery (nice and bendy), cauliflower, leek, courgette, brussel plus left over roast potatoes with ham stock

Stuff from the fridge and cupboard - potatoes, leek, bit of red cabbage, two carrots and a packet of Sainsbury’s organic black beans in water. Resulting shade on the khaki side of mid brown :-)
