I realise it's been lovely weather (in London) but I am thinking ahead here and need some thoughts. I need some suggestions of 'must haves' and 'nice to haves' for winter running as I want to start getting bits and pieces over the next couple of months rather than have to buy all in one go at the first frost. Thoughts? Nici |

Obviously long sleeved top, trackies/ tights, gloves are good and a windproof of some sort, ideally flourescent. That and not minding looking like a newborn giraffe when it gets icy.

I love my arm warmers - I use them just as much for running as on the bike.

Now, let's talk about the hat. I don't really want to wear wool as it itches me. Also I don't want too sweaty of a head. What brand/style do you suggest? |

Ooooo arm warmers? I have some long sleeve, wicking tops. I have running tights. Need to get a jacket. Any suggestion on make etc. Are there gloves that have one finger removed (iPhone user - sorry)? |

Yaktrax - are they things that you put on your shoes for grip. Can you do long runs in them? Or are they best for short runs. Ok, I'll quit being annoying now. |

I've run in snow and ice in innov8s, can't remember which ones they are but they are very non-slippy but I'm quite steady of foot. Fetch buff to cover your mouth to stop cold air catching your throat. And hello again |

Not tested yaktraxs on a long run but guess they should be ok you don't realise you have them on once out running though not good on bare paths As for the hat guess it comes down to the material but have a nice one from Ron hill |
