JB - it's undulating, hillier than most UK road marathons but only 2 main hills at 7 ish & "ice cream mountain" @ 22 ish but a top that hill is Fetchpoint & an ice cream van :)

It's a lovely race JB. It is undulating! There are a couple of notable hills, but it's not too bad. You can bring your tent if you want, but it will be easier to run without it ;-)

I actually don't have a tent.

*note to self* - buy a tent.

Any idea where the best place to camp is - ie nearest to the pub?

Low Wray, Pound farm or either Hawkshead campsites would be reasonably near, but being the Lakes there are lots to choose from!

If it helps, it's my PB course

It's a lovely marathon, yes it has a couple of hills but they're not mountains by any means. Oh and it's in the Lakes so what's not to like.
