Will some explain what info the 'Wind Rose' gives me. I use Fetch in conjuction with a Garmin Edge 500

It tells you your average speed in the 8 different compass directions on a particular activity.

So I suppose if you did a straight E-W bike ride, and back again, against a westerly gale, you'd see slower speed on the left hand side of the rose and faster speed on the right hand side, as a very simple example.

Must admit I've never found the wind rose of any use. The minute your activity has any inclines on it, then that affects speed more than wind imo, and none of my run/cycles are ever completely flat
