Peterborough parkrun is gathering momentum :-) Route planning underway and a dummyrun planned for 24th June. Course is flat and fast but does have a pontoon bridge crossing twice (two laps)

We are also looking for volunteers to help out if anyone is interested :-) This has the potential to be quite a large event due to the location and the amount of runners/clubs in the immediate area so it would be great to be able to drum some support up on here to ensure all goes well.

Also people might see that car parking is charged but we have had it cleared from the park and council that parking is only charged from 10 am. There's a huge wealth of cycle paths in the area that link to the park so we would encourage the use of these as means of getting there. Also the cafe on the site has agreed to a 10% discount for parkrun and would normally only open at 10am but is going to open early for the parkrun :-) Public toilets onsite near the start and the car parking too :-)

There's a group of about 15/20 of us from work planning to be at Wimpole on Saturday, in memory of a work colleague who was a keen runner.
