Whitby LSR routes

Thanks everyone. Derby, just looked at that and appears to be 6.7 miles from one end of cinder path at whitby, to the other, unless there is more of it past robin hoods bay which i can't see :)

My mistake, just found the rest of it heading to scarborough :)
Might do an out and back this weekend on cinder path, especially after all this rain and snow we've had recently :)

km10 if you're training for a marathon or similar you'd be best sticking to the cinder track. The coastal path would be very hard work in road running shoes and parts of it really need a studded fell shoe. The cinder track is not flat but undulates a fair bit. The surface is more like a canal towpath than even a rough running track

I would do if had some shoes that suited conditions, Loz, be just like running through a lake in middle of cow field, :)
