Hi Km, I don't know Whitby but have you looked under the "routes" tab, and put Whitby in the search box? Apologies if you've already done that, I just wondered if you had seen that bit of Fetch yet :-)

There is one route, looks like it goes along the cliff top. does anyone know if that is right and i could run 8 mile out on the cliffs towards robin hoods bay and back :)

Go along the cliff top, cleveland way, to Robin Hoods Bay and pick up the cinder track at the old statiin back. Very simple navigation wise. Beware of the mud on the cliff edge tho :-)

loz's idea is a good one and when she says beware of the mud she means it . few weeks back it was a bit of a quagmire . beautiful run though, good luck .

If you don't mind an 'out and back' and don't like mud you could head out south on the cinder track for 8 miles and turn back. It'd be a shame mind because on a clear day the coast path is stunning
