I had to do ONE coastal trail marathon, but I'm quite comfortable in never going back to that VOTwo three day nightmare along the Pembrokeshire coast. No nemesisises for me, just about 60-odd that I could have had a better go at if I hadn't been knackered.........

The Penketh Runner
Hi Naomi, I've done the Antribus Cabbage Patch 10. It's just a fun friendly run (2 laps of a 5k course around rural Cheshire), lovely scenery and a really warm and friendly atmosphere. The big attraction apart from the medal at the end, is that every finisher gets a cabbage!! |

Ok Bungay - lovely people, nice course, first 6 miles great then started running uphill through a blizzard - having been in sunshine 10 minutes earlier, pulled ITB and stupidly carried on - didn't run for nearly 9 months after that, hobbled back cold and wet with a PW. Got stuck in the mud trying to get out of the field being used as a car park and had to be pushed, then went completely wrong on the way home and took 3 hours to do a 90 minute journey so no quibbles with the actual race, but a bliddy awful day out! |

Oh, it's 10k? Like the sound of a cabbage, as long as it's white not red. I would NEVER do the GUCR, too long, too flat, too dull, and you run through some really shit towns. Bells of Pattingham eh? |

I like the look of bells of pattingham because of its ringing associations might even persuade OH to come along |
