Slightly tangential but not owning a TV I find myself living in a post celebrity bubble. Recently I was subjected to an edition of celebrity mastermind at someone else's house. When the contestants were introduced I was sitting there going "Who are these people?". I seriously didn't know any of them. I find this happens to me more and more. On the radio, on the net. People pop up who are apparently famous who I have never ever heard of. Is it just me? Have I dropped through a rip in the space time continuum? Have I arrived in a parallel universe where the most powerful man in the world sends hourly offensive tweets, and an entire political party are apparently unable to spell the word "Means" ? Does this count as the first rant of 2017 BTW??? |

I'm with you. It seems that most celebrities are just famous for being famous. Even when you ask someone who has actually heard of them they can't tell me what thing of they have achieved.

Dave Attenborourgh? He's 91 in May. Got to be worth a few bob. Suspect the bookies have stopped taking bets on Prince Phil.
