If you’re visiting Netherlands and fancy a parkrun near to a campsite, there is Stadspark parkrun, near Groningen. The site is mainly for campervans/motorhomes, although there were a small number of tents, and the event is approximately a 10mins walk away. Checkout is midday so plenty of time to get back, have breakfast, get showered etc before leaving. The event is very small (around 20 runners), but it’s very friendly and set in a lovely park.

Groningen is a lovely city as well, approximately a 40min walk away if you don’t want to drive in. Not sure if it’s always the case, but the Friday we were there there was a very nice food market, if that’s of interest. Fresh stroopwafels, herring and kibbeling are very nice :)

Trelissick parkrun is a lovely course on an off-road route in NT grounds. Great cafe, plenty of parking and very clean loos.

In terms of camping, we stayed at Penolver CL, which is about a 10min drive from the event. Ran by an elderly lady, and the site has a lovely garden, plus extra fields for running/walking the dogs.

If you don't mind "wild" camping, you can park on quite a few of the south west parkrun courses. Burnham, Teignmouth, Minehead, Exmouth all can park on the road where the parkrun passes by. I think all have toilets close by, and are either free, or cheap to park at overnight.. Bideford has a car park for motorhomes about 2 mins from the start of the course too.

Mrs Dill has been amazed at the amount of camper weekends away that we have had that are surprisingly close to a parkrun. Almost like it was planned in advance...

Druridge Bay has a campsite/caravan park on site but it’s closed during winter.
