Where do you store your car keys/ small items on race day?

HuwH Mar 2012 12:58pm, 28 Mar 2012 965 posts	0 HuwH Most shorts either have zip pocket or inside others there is a fabric pouch with fold over top to take the key. However as I am on call every other week I race and run with a gel belt which has zip pocket. This will take the key and phone in it.
James1982a Mar 2012 2:10pm, 28 Mar 2012 7,510 posts	0 James1982a Sometimes I'll hang my car keys on a necklace, or a zip pocket in my shorts if I have one. I even risked the inner pocket on my shorts with a flap on top the other day and they didn't go anywhere. Small items can stay in the car!
Chramies Jul 2019 8:27am, 8 Jul 2019 82 posts	0 Chramies Zip pocket in shorts takes money, keys if necessary, bus ticket or equivalent … I don't drive but have recently tried to ditch the 'take a bag with me' attitude. If I'm mostly going to go there, run, come back then things in a bag may not be needed.

This is helpful The pockets in my old shorts will barely hold a parkrun barcode and I often run with my car key inside my bra.
