Hi, I would like to say that I regularly do form drills but that would not be true! I fit them I when I can remember to or at the end of an easy session. What do you do for form drills, when and how often? I am going to try to adapt my training to fit in a series of hopping and skipping drills so any advice would be great, Cheers Darting |

For the past few years it's been: starting tomorrow, every day.

We do them as part of the warm up on club training nights - with varying degrees of effort and attention. On a personal level I pay most attention to form when running up a hill - but I don't tend to do drills solo.

Is there any real value in them? I have usually just warmed up ran the session then cooled down but have just read the runners world magazine!

Well I really notice that the fastest & strongest runners at our club sessions have very impressive knee lift and their heels flick up a lot as well - so I reckon the theory is sound ![]() |
