I waited 45 minutes and heard someone tell someone else they are short staffed! I breezed through the haemoglobin check when I normally have to go on the second machine! She took me over sat me in the chair, prepped my arm, stuck it in and ‘nothing’! They are not allowed to poke about or try the other arm so that’s it for me this time! A kit Kat and off I go to try to rebook!

Oranj Jul 2021 4:23pm, 8 Jul 2021 2,720 posts	0 Oranj I am sure I've been jabbed in both arms, although it was quite a few years ago. IIRC, an extra Hb test (as usual for me) was taken from one arm, and then the actual donation from the other. Perhaps that's not quite the same thing.

However, did a race 4 days after this one and felt terrible! Took me a while to realise what was wrong(not so much tired as run down, ill). The times I've trained after donating, at the gym/circuits/run club have been for about an hour....and I was alright for about an hour! Then the wheels came off 🙈 Finished hours later...
