Cavey Oct 2011 8:40am, 5 Oct 2011 10,427 posts	0 Cavey I need some new wheels for my road bike. Am i correct in thinking that 700 is a fairly standard size? I've seen some on Ebay that are a bargain, but will need skewers and a 9 speed shimano cassette. Are all those things fairly universal? i.e will any skewer fit any wheel, and will any wheel take any cassette? And most importantly are they easy enough for a dullard to put together?

Shimano 9 speed hub will need a matching cassette - ie not campag nor 8 speed etc and yes failry easy to put together - but you do need a tool to tighten / loosen cassette lock ring
