My KIMM 1991 sweatshirt still does duty for warm-ups on cold days. The JK82 T-shirt is reserved for special occasions when I'm in the role of gnarly old codger. It seems to have shrunk a bit...

I had to totally revamp my wardrobe 2005/6 so I have no clothes older than that. I haven't thrown away any training kit except for socks which don't appear to last and swimming costumes. As far as everything else is concerned, I still have it all.

I have a pair of puma socks which I wore when I first started running and wore them for my first half marathon. They sort of became my lucky socks and then I wore them when I was in labour to keep my feet warm when I had my son - so then they became the socks I just couldn't throw out - wore them when I had my daughter too and now - they are really not any use for running in any more but I just can't bring myself to throw them out :)

Oldest bit of kit is my first pair of Nike running shoes. I use them for walking now as they are only 3 years old and I only ran 500 miles in them :-)

I bought the long sleeve ronhill top I am wearing as a base layer for my run tonight in 2001. It has shrunk a bit so the sleeves are a bit short, but its holding up well.

Just noticed no one has posted here for three yesrs, oops.

Perhaps we're waiting for our kit to age a bit more before posting?

My oldest bit of kit is a Helly long sleeve base layer (one of the old "furry" ones), from about 1985. It hasn't gone perma-smelly, unlike the newer ones.

I also have the Ron Hill lycra tights and cotton vest I bought the same day - I think Touchwood Sports must've had a sale on - although the tights have lost all their elasticity and ought to be thrown out (they've done good service being thrashed through undergrowth in recent orienteering events). The vest still, ahem, fits if I breathe in.

I've also got a C&A sweatshirt from the same vintage. Wore it to the gym just last week.

Might be the Thorlo socks I am wearing right now - eight or nine years old.
