Any recomendations on what to wear shorts wise for an off road mountain bike duathlon ? I'm thinking my road cycling bib shorts aren't going to be comfy on the run. Had a very quick look on Wiggle for tri shorts but lots of choice and quite pricy. The ride is 24km and the saddle on my MTB is practically a sofa compared to road bike so just normal running shorts ? |

I have done an MTB duathlon in running shorts figuring I spend a lot of time out of the saddle on the MTB. That was fine. I'd also only bought the bike the day before but that's another story entirely. |

My theory is that if you are racing then dress to race. Then again I bet the saddle on my MTB is not exactly comfy |

24 km on a bike isn't that far so if you can't afford new shorts I would hazard running shorts would be ok on the bike but cycling shorts a pain on the run |

Trisuit or lycra shorts/leggings. I race xtri/ mtb duathlons events in trisuit. If its cold put me Lycra gear on under trisuit.. |
