I've just started The Town That Didn't State. It's about East Gribstead, and much more interesting than that suggests. It's made by a journalist from the area and looks at aspects of the town's history and culture: it's the UK home of Scientology, a big Mormon centre, significant in the history of ley lines, and the place where a pioneering centre for treatment of burned pilots was set up in WW2. Thoughtful and well researched.

I’ve been enjoying The Rule Of Three podcast where Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris talk to a guest about something that makes them laugh.

Many great recommendations on here (I'm going to have to checkout the BBC Lovecraft ones), although I already listen to too many.

I use castbox on my Android phone and listen at 2x speed except for the Music ones.

Will try and add a list in the next few days.

Thanks Neil_E I look forward to seeing your recommendations. I'm not sure I can handle 2x speed though, sometimes I have to skip back and relisten on 1x!

Partial cut/paste from the ‘know yesterday’ wire but...

I popped my ‘Wired’ podcast cherry this morning. I think it’s a ‘no thank you’ from me.

It seems very much like No Such Thing As A Fish but without the jokes. Every bit as smug though. It is unlikely to become a regular listen.

Still intending to post the list but my phone (which contains the list) is currently out of order.

As for listening at 2 x speed, it's something I gradually worked up to. Sad to report it does nothing to increase my running speed :(
