I've binged the whole of series 3 today while "working". ;-) Just got hooked and wanted to know what happens next.

Ok then Fetch Hive Mind, here's my dilemma:

I listen to a lot of podcasts. At the moment my hardware/Software of choice is to download them through iTunes on a laptop and then put them on an old iPod Nano. This means that I can organise them into playlists of specific subjects, which is useful because I'm not always in the mood for certain things, and others are more topical (eg football podcasts have to be listened to while they're new whereas History podcasts can mostly be backlogged until I've got time.

So I'm hearing that Apple are thinking of discontinuing iTunes and even if they don't I can't get a replacement for the iPod for love nor money (sometimes they come up on EBay in "used condition" but how used?

So sooner or later I'm going to end up using an app on my phone to consume podcasts, which I'm told is me joining the 21st century.

The Apple Podcasts app has the facility to set up a single queue for subsequent podcasts but nothing like a multiple playlist format.

Does anyone know of another podcast app that would give me this capability? I don't even mind if it's not a free app.

I use podcast republic. No idea if it works on an Apple device, but you can set up play lists. It's free.

Good luck with it Nellers.
Really enjoying the second series of The Lovecraft Investigation The Shadow Over Innsmouth by the way. Thanks for the recommendation.

Have you considered a slightly older second hand iPhone to replace it Nellers? PAYG sim that no-one needs to know the number of, only keep the podcasts app, signed into your apple account?
