You should be towards the front of midfield with those sort of times. As with any race though, it depends who shows up :)

With 6 weeks to go probably best off focusing on your swim. Can get good quick gains with a bit of coaching and 3 or more swim sessions a week.

Your run looks strong and bike is pretty good.

or do what I do ignore the swim, bigger gains to be made on the bike

I don't think that would be for the best for the big picture Gobs :)

I disagree Simbil, the biggest gains unless you are an elite TT rider are there to be made on the bike as it is the thing that takes the most time.

Yes, but it's not quite that simple I think. The biggest gain is usually got from working on your weakest discipline as they generally all suffer diminishing returns. Sure if both cycling and swimming were similarly weak, you would choose cycling for the reasons you say (but you would still not completely neglect any discipline, that's just plain wrong).

Kevin looks to be a weaker swimmer than cyclist to me. Overall, he may save a similar amount of time by focusing on either cycling or swimming for this particular race (though the right approach to swimming would save more I suspect).

Going forwards, he cannot afford to neglect swimming. It makes a lot of sense to get the stroke right early on.

For all those reasons, a swim focus would be best whilst maintaining good volume on the bike.

Again not convinced. I can swim 750 metres in 20 minutes and as you know I put some effort into improving my swimming. The net result was a marginal gain whereas a shift to bike focus saw me make minutes. I would still work on the bike :¬)

Looking at Kevins bike time, there is a quick win of 2-6 minutes to be had from a good biking plan, he won't get that in 6 weeks of swimming.
