Left Foot
"The devil makes work for idol hands". I literally 'entertained thoughts' of entering Ironman UK 2021 a few minutes ago. Need to back slowly away from this!

I might blog. That'd be a turnup for the books for one thing!

For starters, I've just booked an exam for next week as I've done a fair bit of basic online training about Amazon Web Services in the last couple of weeks and I may as well have something to show for it.

Lots about myself:
1. I need structure and to be busy - I'm definitely not ready for retirement which is just as well as I'm only 42.

2. I am motivated to do active/physical jobs (clearing out cupboards, sorting out the garage, tinkering with bikes) but not so much by sitting down jobs (planning some walks, doing that online photography course that I never finished)
3. I actually find social events a real demand and am enjoying not having to psyche myself up to meet people at the moment.

Other learning:
1. I have learned to interact with multiple video conferencing platforms - MS Teams, Skype, Google Meet, Zoom.

2. I have had loads of time for CPD so now know more about the neuroscience of learning, the effects of neglect/trauma on brain development, policy/legislation around various aspects of my role.

I've just learned that because of the profusion of cowslips on Leckhampton Hill it is a good habitat for the Duke of Burgundy butterfly, and I now know that the speckledy brown butterflies I've seen up there, are likely to be Dukes of Burgundy :-) (And that's made me smile, thinking of Passport to Pimlico :-) )

Got something to say?
