Thames AFC had 2 seasons in the Football league, playing at a greyhound and speedway track called the West Ham Stadium, in Custom House. That stadium had a capacity of 120,000. They were set up, like some other clubs, to give regular use to an already existing stadium, by the consortium that built the stadium. Went bust after a couple of years, though. As a Watford fan, I'm tickled by the fact that their opponents on the day when 469 people watched them play was Luton Town.
