GregP 19 Feb 11:20am, 19 Feb 2024 150,802 posts	0 GregP Hello - I was directed here by the HTJI (movie) wire. Anyone got views on J.J.Abrams' "Alias"? Critics seem to have loved it. I'm 19 episodes in - near the end of Season 1 - and I swear it's making me stupider. Thoughts?

I mentioned Slow Horses on HTJI the other day. Just binged Season 3 and was pleased to see that there's a 4th on the way. IT's kinda cliche-ridden spy stuff but it's well done and I'm really enjoying it. Also has anyone taken the time to watch "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters" on Apple? It's a spin-off from the recent Godzilla/Kong monsterverse movies and it was big dumb fun. I particularly enjoyed that Kurt Russell was cast as the present day version of his character and his son Wyatt played the 1950s-60s version when the story required it. I thought that worked really well. Also also (because I'd forgotten this thread existed and I'm doing a bit of a brain dump) who's seen the Netflix trailer for Three Body Problem? Any thoughts? Have you read it? If you have does that make the series more or less appealing? I've just finished the book having been inspired to get round to it by the trailer and I'm really excited about the show.

It started off like a German Stranger things, but has gone into a different territory, that's wholly its own. Not totally far removed from Amazon's Tales from the loop.
