One of the edgier bands from The Nineties, featured on Guy Garvey's 'From The Vaults' show about Britpop. Not all the tracks were as impressive....

I loved their single Dark Therapy

Sonya has a blissful, honey like voice which worked particularly well on this song.

Tony Blackburn on point this morning

Missed the show today - napping! I can bear the 'jokes' and the banter - all I do is think back to the first record played on Radio 1...almost 55 years ago! :-o :-o

There was an interview with Steve Reich on the BBC Radio 4 'Today' programme this morning. I can't decide whether his compositional style is the equivalent of pointillism in modern art, or a skilful blend of looping and 'live' musicians. This piece [1 of 3] tells of the rail travel in USA of his youth, and signposts the rail transports of WW2 that took so many to theur death.

Can it be fifty years since a childhood friend answered the door to a seedy flat in Rotherham, wearing mascara, blusher and glitter? And did my motorcycle chic cut little ice, as I joined the party and first listened to 'The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars'?

BBC Radio 4 - Archive on 4 tonight, introduced by Toyah Wilcox and featuring contributions by people close to Bowie, his music and his image. 57 min.
