I think there were a few ringers in the Sweatshop wave - apparently they were offering free entry to parkrunners if they'd wear the Sweatshop shirt... In fact free race and free shirt - I'm considering joining the Sweatshop crew next year

From a Facebook post, it looks like loads of people have got an official time a few seconds slower than the timing clock and / or their watches.

I think it was gun to chip, rather than chip to chip. Could explain some of the discrepancies? I started my watch on the go and crossed the line at 5:59 which is what I was given... |

Good point. But my gun time was *also* faster than the time I was given, the clock over the gantry ticked over form 6:12 to 6:13 and my official time was 6:16. I stopped my garmin, for what it's worth, a few paces after the line and it said 6:14.
