Blogged my support experience - what a fab day it was. Commiserations M1nty - that's really hard luck, but not much you can do about it.

Yup fine now, thanks, yes agree have to just accept it. Back at work, unfortunately not nursing a hangover. Will take a look at your blog G when I've "recovered".

It must be hard to consume stuff when things have gone badly in a race. I feel like that when I'm injured and can't run, I find it hard to read about others enjoying their running. Hope you feel fully better about it all soon M1nty.

There were 41 DNFs, so quite a high number and proportion. Shows what a tough race it is, as everyone has already proven their training and competence through the entry process.

How did I not know about this thread?

I love this weekend but it ruins me! Awesome weather (bar the initial rain at Glencoe for the leaders), all the midges went to Loch Lomond for their summer holidays, only two dnfs at my cp (one of which ended up in hospital so is permitted ;-) ), no sleep, emotional prize giving, a few tough days, excellent after parties (including two support crews having a sprint race along the Hugh Street at 1.15am), and lots and lots of friends.

Brilliant marshalling Duchess. Thanks so much to you and all the other amazing volunteers. You must need a week off to recover after! :-) G

I think I've just signed up to crew again for 2021! If he gets in through ballot, obv. :-) G
