Gonna do the Porthcawl parkrun next time I'm down visiting family - be nice to run along the seafront (if a bit breezy). SioUx - could always look at setting one up yourself or getting a group of people together to do that? |

I'm doing the Chester 1/2 on the 12 May Not doing the Mara but will try to do a mini fetchpoint, work dependant. Mrsd- lovely idea but I work shifts inc lots of weekends. Just can't commit enough as can't get the time off. I used to coach the local swim club but again had to stop as couldn't guarantee I could always be there for a session. |

I'm not sure what is going on with the second Cardiff Parkrun - I have unofficially been asked what I think - to be frank I think that any other course in Cardiff is going to be a very poor second to Bute Park/Blackweir. The additional thing that has personally pissed me off greatly is this idiotic pretence that Parkruns are not races - in life generally I cannot abide pretending that things are a way they are not. |

sioUx - totally get where you're coming from with that. Plant the seed in a friend's head and let them nurture it, that's what I did with the father in law and now there's a parkrun local to him!
