Fair enough Hibeedeb, you'll find your way around easily enough. I did eventually as it's the first (and the only) site I ventured into and it was a unique experience.

Hello Fetchies. Just registered but have been browsing and enjoying the forum for a while. Found this place about six or seven years ago, when I was googling how to run a sub 18 5K and stumbled on that thread. I did actually register a few years ago but kept on alurking. Then Fetch sent me a polite email asking if I’d really meant it when I joined, as I’d done f-all on the site.

Enjoy reading the posts here because, aside from the running stuff, originally from N.Ireland and living in US, so many of the threads and personalities here give me a little connection to back home. I’m an older runner, 53. My proudest running moment was getting my 100th parkrun in, shortly before the plague hit. Anyway, just saying hullo!

Phil

HowFar?
Hi, Phil. It seems a bit odd to say ‘welcome’ when you have been around for so long so I suppose ‘welcome to posting stuff’ would be more appropriate.

What is the situation with parkrun there at the moment? Has it started up again, or is there a date in mind for the restart?

Hello ORG!

Welcome to Fetch. :-)

(I'm not actually sure if I'm allowed to be on the Welcome committee yet since I haven't been back here all that long... but there's noone else around)

Awesome pre-plague parkrunning.

Sushi.
Hi OldRunnerGuy.

Where about in the States are you?

My sister has been living across ‘the pond’ since 1990.

Thanks for the welcomes! HF, no word at all on Parkrun USA starting up again yet. Living in North Carolina. Sushi. My local parkrun is Durham (no 11th century cathedrals but we were the second parkrun founded in US!)

Sushi.
My sister is a bit further North and west of you. She’s on the Kenai Peninsula, AK. but started off in Virginia and then Oregon.

Guess parkruns are going to be hard to organise in a ‘Covid safe’ manner.
