If we upload via garmin or other GPS files, they should have time and location. Would it be possible to use that data to grab weather information from the met office / BBC / yahoo etc and auto-populate the weather tab in the training log section? Non GPS users could perhaps have a default location set that they could unselect or update if away from home. Weather could be a brief few lines on things that are important to the run like temp humidity wind direction & speed precipitation |

In Norfolk we could just have a default - temp - cold, humidity - high for 3 months, low for the other 9, wind direction & speed - North, east south westerly always in your face at near gale force, precipitation - steady drizzle 50% of the time the other 50% stair rods.

More to the point. There ought to be more than one option for things like weather. A run of 4 hours or more can easily see a wide variety in terms of temperature, wind and precipitation. Particularly if you start or finish in the dark ... Not a bad idea though. |
