compartmental
I plonk it in overnight oat/ chia stuff. 1/2 cup yoghurt, scoop powder, 1/3 cup oats, tsp chia seed + some fruit - grated apple/chopped peaches/frozen berries. Whatever I’ve got. Tried putting it in porridge but can’t get the texture to be other than revolting.

I put a couple of scoops of powder into my smoothie which is good for 4 servings...with fruit and soy milk.

I add frozen banana and peanut butter to my chocolate protein powder for a breakfast shake, or instant coffee to vanilla powder. I also add a scoop to overnight oats and top with berries.

I’m with Gobi. Real food all the way here. What’s wrong with chicken, eggs, white and oily fish ( mackerel - cheap, sustainable and very tasty) plain Greek yoghurt, cheese, beans and lentils, chickpeas, PEAS ffs! neck end of lamb…. You know all, the stuff you learned at school!

I occasionally mix some protein powder with plain yoghurt and cocoa for a pud - but protein powder is very expensive for what it is.

I'm with Gobi too. I eat a lot of turkey too plus everything on Sharkie's list.

I don't use protein powder, prefer real food.

I was told by someone who had the relevant PhD that unless you are eating a very restrictive diet, then taking protein supplementation was just a way of creating darker urine.

P.S. I haven't eaten meat (other than accidentally) for 35 years, apparently this means I must have died from hyposteakemia years ago according to widespread beliefs.

on a normal day I probably only get 50g max
I wouldn't have protein at breakfast either hence my need to increase.
I should be having well over 100g to help with age and weight issues

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
I am trying to increase my protein intake so have bought some protein powder off PHD.

Other than "protein shake" how else do you use your protein powders?

The website usefully says
"Whether it’s protein pancakes in the morning, high protein cookies as a snack or a light, fluffy mousse in the evening there isn’t an indulgent recipe you can make without including Smart Protein."

But doesn't give any information about how to do these things so I thought I would ask you wonderful ...
