Voted by post and worked as a Presiding Officer, but not too busy as only Police and Crime Commissioner elections here.

Everyone remembered to bring face coverings, but very few remembered to bring their own pen or pencil.

Roughly 10% on the day turnout at the station where I was Presiding from a register of just over 5,000.

3 ballots: Local, PCC as well as a local referendum question that only applied to one particular voter in the ward (who did not show!)

All but 3 voters wore masks and I'd estimate about 50% brought their own pen/pencil.

8 people turned up in the last 7 minutes which slowed my usually prompt getaway (within 10 mins of closing) by another 10 mins - so not best pleased.

We did ours by postal vote. As we're not exactly completer-finishers in my household I was a bit paranoid we'd forget to actually post the thing, but it went off well before the deadline.

Yep, and took my own pencil.

Although it was only P&CC there was a brisk trade at our station 😁

No, only P&CC vote where I am which is a totally useless position and a waste of pencil lead.

A lot of passing young children were really excited to see a polling station open next to their school. Apparently this was because they had seen about the election on Newsround.
