Liverpool is top of my list,. there are a few others that I'd like to do but dates-wise Liverpool is a good fit (and I can visit family and friends)

How about you?

Manchester for me. Flat course. Done it twice before, nice place to spend the weekend and only 90 minutes from home.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I was thinking of Brighton until I saw that applying at this stage would be £65. So I'll look for a smaller local one.

I didn't enter VLM ballot as I don't like mass participation events. Have already entered the inaugural DORCHESTER and am considering entering NDVM as I really enjoyed it this year.

Actually, Ive always fancied doing the New York marathon, so I checked out the entry fees for 2017

Entry Fees

The 2017 TCS New York City Marathon drawing is free to enter and limited to one entry per person. The entry fees for the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon are as follows:

U.S. residents (those who live in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia)

NYRR members: US $255

Non-members: US $295

Non-U.S. residents (including Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories): US $358

might be worth a punt

Stewie, look at www.sportstoursinternational.co.uk. Friends of mine have used them for overseas marathons including US ones.
