Thanks for the info re the expo, excited to hear about a fetch stand. I won my place in a competition for Fullers London pride so I have to wear their top and not a fetch one.

13 weeks and 4 days to go. That's only 10 long run weekends, allowing for taper. Assuming a couple of cut back weeks, it's only 8 weekends to do those all important long runs. Don't skip 'em! (by which I mean don't avoid them, not don't do all 20 miles at a hop and a skip. Or maybe you should. Alternative strength training, perhaps?!)

Good luck all. :-)G

Is anyone else struggling to get out for runs becasue of the snow? Norwich is just ridiculous at the moment, there are roads in the city centre closed FFS. Very annoying. also have my charity's training day in London on Saturday run by Daley Thompson and I dont think IM going to be able to make it as more snow is forecast :(

I can imagine it would be hard for some Judds - I do a lot of my run off road, in the country, so less affected by city centre closures. I don't like slipping about on ice, slush and snow on roads. I'd rather go completely off road in proper, deeper snow and wear trail shoes or running-crampons.

Or there's always the dreaded treadmill. Longest I've done on that was 9 or 10 miles. Very dull. Though intervals, tempo sessions, progressives, HR tests and so on are often good to do on a treadmill. But that's not the bulk of one's training. Get out in the hills, would be my recommendation! :-)G

Yeah, the countryside is very close to Norwich but as I live in the centre of it getting out there requires a car or running on treacherous roads to get there. Im also not a member of a gym however, my friend works near GoOutdoors and popped out in his lunch break to get me these. yaktrax.co.uk

My run tonight is back on! :)

I've got a slightly more aggressive, off road version (couldn't use on tarmac, unless a good couple of cm snow cover)

Prob with sliding about is risk of adductor injury (or any other muscle that normally is unused in running, but a sudden slip sideways or back or forwards) can cause. Go carefully all! :-)G
