Marlan, that doesn't sound right - I'm blue pen 9, would have probably put 5 or 5.15 - the 5hr pacer is in pen 9. I oubt that there is anything you can do about it though

On pen numbers on the red start. The 3:45 (ish) pacer is pen 4 and the 3:56 pacer is pen 5

I'm having a mare with supporters too. My OH thought he'd be able to see me off at the start and then see me at the end. I've told him to not even bother getting out of bed sunday morning and to make sure he is somewhere I'll be able to see him en route (like fetchpoint). I'm also not arranging to meet him at horseguards and will go straight to the charity reception. Not sure he's too chuffed at this idea. Other supporters are vaguely saying they will be there to watch, but I know I'll stand no chance of seeing them if I don't know exactly where. I've given up trying to sort it out.

Mave - I completely sympathise with your situation, I'm experiencing similar issues with my parents The best thing you can do is leave them to it and focus on your running prep & plans. Take care xx

Your plan plan is the sensible one Mave, your hubby will see it that way to once he sees the crowds! My supporters plan is the same as yours. Look out for them at my charity's cheering point and meet them at the reception afterwards. Less hassle during and after the race. Going for a last run this morning, then spend the afternoon checking and double checking everything I need before heading off to London tomorrow. I'm getting a bit excited here!

JK I wouldn't worry about the Expo - it is usually ok Saturday mid afternoon when I go. I'm number 722 blue championship start. Mave it is very hard to spot your supporters unless you know exactly where they are standing as you're just looking out at mass crowd. But good idea to just meet them somewhere afterwards. Good luck everyone and stay strong in the taper

The first time I did this my wife aimed at spotting me at three positions and then at the finish - I think she was more exhausted by the end than me! She only got to see me once and I didn't see her at all. This year they'll (3 kids in tow now) be at one spot - nice and early - so right at the front and I know where to look. There are some parts of the course that are a lot less busy than others.

My oh is fully aware that he may not see me until the end but is happy to bask in the atmosphere of the day and to cheer everyone on. But the again he is from a small village in west Wales and only been to London three times
